The annual Pursuit Race is back. We will hold it on Wednesday July 30 - skipper's meeting at 6:00 pm, start time 6:30.
For this race the racers start based on their handicap, in other words there will be multiple starts, one for each type of boat. The race will run 1 hour and the expectation is that all racers will finish at approximately the same time. We will run one start sequence starting with raising the Yellow Shape.
It is imperative to attend the skipper's meet to see your start time and the race course. For example the Start time for a Laser is 8 minutes and 50 seconds from the raising of the Yellow shape and for a Hobie 16 it is 21 minutes and 56 seconds for an hour race. After 1 hour from the raising of the yellow flag the race is finished and the boats will be scored by who crosses the finish line first. We will run a different course than what we usually use.
This is a fun race and we encourage everyone to come out, novice to experienced racers.
