The club offers a unique sailing training program for both adults and youths. It’s like learning to sail at the cottage! Our grounds have many trees that provide shade and lawns that reach to a stone beach - it’s a great place to complement your lessons with a family picnic.
Club membership discounts for sail training are available to you if you decide to join after your training.
The following training is offered in 2021:
YOUTH DAY CAMP (Monday to Friday)
A fun program giving an introduction to sailing using Laser sail boats following Sail Canada's CANSail 1 and 2 or 3 and 4 curriculum. Program runs 9am to 4pm. Drop off at 8:45, pickup by 4:30. These lessons will be delivered using Laser sail boats. We have small class sizes.
Students in CanSail 1 and 2 classes will be sailing with another student on a Laser. Depending on student ability and comfort level, and the sailing conditions on a given day, it may not be possible to maintain the same sailing partner throughout the lessons. If two students make a request to be placed on the same boat, this request will be honoured as long as all safety standards can be maintained.
Students in CanSail 3 and 4 usually graduate to sailing Lasers single handed.
